In the Grimoires you find consecrations for all the tools / weapons, including such things as an asperger, an inkwell and a lancet. But the consecration of the Ring is missing.
Even in Waite’s Book of Black Magic (which I hated at first but have grown to really appreciate) there is no mention of such a rite.
In Crowley’s Magick in Theory and Practice, he writes:
“..the arrangement of the weapons on the Altar must be such that they look balanced. Nor should the Magician have any unbalanced ornament. If he have the Wand in his right hand, let him have the Ring on his left..”
and then, in a footnote:
“The Ring has not been described (..) for reasons which may be or may not be apparent to the reader. It is the symbol of Nuit, the totality of possible ways in which he may represent himself and fulfill himself.”
There are more or less two types of rings in Magick. Talismanic ones, like described in the Black Pullet and the PGM, and those which are weapons in themselves, like the fabled Ring of Solomon or the one of John Dee. I would consider masonic(style) rings, like for example the ones of the Fraternitas Saturni, to fall in the second category.
The sole reason I took a course in silversmithing was to be able to make my own ring. Some years ago I made one with my seal etched into it. Best thing I had made so far. Consecrated it with the “all purpose” consecration from the PGM and loved it. It was so magicky yo. And then one day I lost it. No idea where or when it fell out (obviously..) but when I reached in my pocket it wasn’t there..
In the past couple of days (yes, with all the planets retrograde – I was completely unaware of that lol) I made a new Ring from silver, with a piece of copper in which my seal is etched.
Fun fact:
For the etching I used the copper-sulfate that was the unintended result of my failed attempt at making crystals from copper some time ago.
It’s true: “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need”.
I let the copper with the design sit in the solution for a couple of hours and it came out pretty good.
So..the consecration.
A couple of rings and their consecration are given in the PGM. These are very specific – the ring has to made from gold and have a bloodstone that is engraved – and then assigned to / linked with an entity called Ouphor.
I think it’s interesting that in the Bible there’s a word AVPIR (“Op(h)ir”) that is the name for either India or a region in Arabia during the days of Solomon, from which gold, precious stones, sandalwood and exotic animals and ivory were brought.
1 Kings 9:28
And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
Could this term Ophir / Ouphor be a link to Solomon’s Ring then?
Below is the text I compiled from parts of the PGM consecrations plus a tiny pinch of Enochian and John Dee’s diary, and fitted in a Grimoire-esque frame.

As with all my interpretations:
I do not and can not guarantee that the translations I give for ancient (and likely corrupted) words are absolutely and indisputably correct – I don’t have dr. or PhD in my name…
Based on the context though, I’d argue that these are at least plausible.
Like most spells from the PGM it sometimes feels as if the writer started earnestly but at some point just thought “o, okay, this needs one or two more OOIEIEUAAAAEUSUSUSUS”
You can use them as they are, without having a clue about what you are saying or calling down on yourself, or you can consider the English I give and keep that in the back of your mind when you use the original. Or you can ignore all of it.
This is what I believe the Barbarous Words (could) mean (if they are interpreted as being Hebrew):
IAO
Now, this empty container
Is awaiting your arrival
Be a part of this vessel
(so that) the princes worship
the mark of the appointed Watcher
This earnest Gift
Consecrated
to Unlock
What I will be
and to experience light and love

Adorned with faithfulness
In the name of On, anoint me
you Watcher
In the name of On, come as called
