Sumerian LBRP

I have seen one or two Sumerian adaptations of the LBRP before that replace the Archangels with Sumerian gods etc. This one stays relatively close to the pronunciation of the Hebrew – but with a slightly different meaning of course.

Here the sign of Anu is included. It’s obvious that the similarity between this 8-rayed star and the Western symbol for Spirit is no coincidence.

Because it mentions the Crown, this then is my rendition of the “Banishing Crown of Anu” from the Necronomicon.

the Square of Sandalphon

This square contains the letters of the Names of the Archangels of the first nine sephiroth. Metatron, Tzaphkiel, Tzadkiel, Kamael, Michael, Haniel, Raphael and Gabriel. These letters add up to 1960 – 7 x 280

The outer columns and rows have the number 277 (for which Crowley gives “gratia, benevolentia”) and 283 (“that goes on foot”). These words seem to come from “friend” and “foot soldier”).

The 5 remaining columns and rows have the value of 280 which is the Gematria of Sandalphon.

MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN

In Daniel 5:25 this mysterious sentence appears. It is the original “writing on the wall” which is so often referenced.

None of the king’s wise men knew the meaning of the phrase, and Daniel was brought in to interpret it.

This is Daniel’s translation:

MENE = “God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end”

TEKEL = “Thou are weighed in the balances, and found wanting”

PERES = “Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians”

Let’s ignore the difference between UPHARSIN and PERES for a moment. The U is the Vav which means “and”, PHARS and PERES are spelled the same in the Hebrew (Peh Resh Samech).

The words clearly weren’t part of the normal language spoken by the king and his court, else Daniel wouldn’t have had to be brought in to interpret them.

What if we compare it with Sumerian?

MEN = tiara

NE = strength

TAKA = abandon

TAKA LA = open

U = and

PAR = canal

SEN = battle

Strength has Abandoned the Crown and Opened a Canal to Battle

In the night following Daniel’s interpretation of these words, king Belshazzar was slain. A powerful Spell.
